The husband has, on more than one occasion, called me a closet-hippie. I don't know about this! I mean sure- I am kinda on the casual side, chapstick is my friend, I recycle, care about the environment, and makeup doesn't really get too far with me, I'd love to be able to afford a hybrid, and recently I've been looking into converting our home to solar. It isn't like I'm going off to Burning Man any day soon- and I don't say Groovy!
..... although my purse is made out of recycled water bottles.

An Open Letter to TV
Dear TV,
We've had a rocky relationship over the past year. The writer's strike was really the pinnacle of our problems, but the fallout after that was still too much for our then crumbling affair. I know you are trying to revive our passion, but I'm worried it just won't be enough. A two hour premiere of Grey's? Only to be left for another two weeks? Does the vice-presidential debate have to interfere with us? The answer is no. You are making poor choices on your end, TV. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep the charade going. I am working my hardest to be optimistic. The Office was great, we'll always have that. And we'll see how Private Practice goes. But I'm afraid I have to put you on notice. Step it up, and at least try.
Sincerely,
Ashley

Feeling Silly
Has anyone else held a bowl of steaming hot oatmeal above your head under a ceiling fan to get it to cool that much faster? Kinda humiliating.
Time to tame the insanity
Welcome! I decided to become a part of the blogosphere. I'm not sure why, I guess I would like to remember these days that seem to be flying past my memories. My girls are so small, and the past year and a half is becoming a blur. And maybe if I write down my sudden Aha! bursts, I'll remember them. The simple things I forget on a day to day basis is countless. So here's to you, reader! Have fun playing around in my crazy insanity.
